Online Psychologists Brisbane
Our psychologists offer online appointments via videolink for existing and new clients. The health and wellbeing of our clients and broader community remains a priority for all Brisbane Wellbeing clinicians and we will retain telehealth psychology services throughout this period of social isolation and social distancing.
We understand some clients may not be able or wish to attend our clinic in person and therefore we are offering online services, generally referred to as Telehealth services. These services will be provided by video conference/videolink using a private and secure Google system.
- All our clinicians at Brisbane Wellbeing Psychologists are offering both in-clinic and online psychology appointments via videolink or phone.
- Scheduling an online appointment with Brisbane Wellbeing is a simple and easy process. You will be sent a link to click on at your appointment time and we utilise a system which is fully encrypted using 128-bit AES encryption and SHA-1 HMAC for authentication.
- Online booking for online videolink appointments is available
- Laptops, tablets or phones are suitable for use for online psychology appointments.
- The videolink system utilised us part of the Google Suite of software and there is no requirement for clients to have existing accounts to utilise this system.
Preparing for an Online Telehealth Appointment
When attending an online appointment, please ensure that you have the following:
- A suitable location within your home or other location for the session and it is important to try and maintain a setting as aligned as possible to being in a clinic setting
- Ensure you are in a private location, with minimum likelihood of being overheard by others. Adjust the volume on your device to maximise your privacy whilst not impacting the session
- Try to sit in a well lit area
- Minimise background noise – turn off televisions, music or other sounds, and close the door to the room that you are in.
- Minimise distractions – During sessions please avoid using your device for other tasks at the same time (social media, work etc). As much as possible, try to make sure that pets, children, or household members will not be distractions from your treatment. Obviously, given the current circumstances, we understand if interruptions are unavoidable.
- Please ensure you have a device with a camera and microphone (phones, tablets, laptop and desktop computers are suitable) and a reliable internet connection
- During sessions, please place your device on a steady surface and remain in one position rather than holding your device in your hand or walking around.
- You are available promptly at the appointment time for the call/video session (you will receive a separate calendar invite with details and link for the session)
- Interruptions are minimised during the appointment
- Any materials generated during your session will be scanned and emailed to you following the session.
Online Appointment Benefits
